I know this is a production company, not a theatre, but I'm hoping this is an okay place for it! If you have an audition/callback/offer for THE DIARY OF A CATHOLIC SCHOOL DROPOUT (MUSICAL) at Actor's Temple Theatre, do not take the offer. Quality of the shows aside (and it's not great), this company does not create a safe rehearsal or performance environment on a mental or physical level. During the show I performed with this production company, Mr. Gray made up the entire production team, which meant that we had no stage manager, no designers, and no one to go to in the event of unsafe situations. The productions put on by this company deal primarily in extremely traumatic material and incidents with no regard for processing or actor comfort - especially when it comes to non-consensual intimacy. Even if this is your first NYC credit and it sounds appealing, DO NOT DO IT. It's not worth it, more chances will come, I don't know you, but I can already tell you you're worth more than this impending experience.
