terrible company to work for. No breaks even when scheduled. Treated terribly. They do not handle race well. They body painted until 2019. You live in cabins with no AC. People have gotten into wrecks and still performed. Abusers fired and rehired

All of this. I was sexually assaulted by two fellow cast mates, and while the SM was really great and took me to the hospital, the company let them stay on-site for over a month while paying them to not perform instead of firing them immediateLu. The cops in town told me “they admitted to everything, but you’re not exactly a likeable victim so we’re not charging them”. This was during the time there was an active serial killer who killed six women in town. Especially as a woman, never take a job here. I quit acting for years after working here because it was so traumatic. Later I had to email them and threaten to sue because they hired my friend’s abuser as fight captain, after he had been fired from the job they worked on together. It’s literally a haven for violent men and the entire story and set up is incredibly racist, which they get around by saying it’s “blessed by the Shawnee tribe”. Run far far far away.
They called me back at SETC but I declined to further pursue after hearing the tea from a former classmate who worked there. In my callback, they said the "Native Americans gave them permission to portray them" which I somehow doubt. My colleague said they were made to do a lot of dangerous side tasks they weren't trained how to safely do like handling firearms and cleaning up after the live horses used in the show. And that the living quarters sucked.
